This guys are actually pretty incredible. A lot of people edit Youtube videos making music with them, but in this case, they get videos that are about to get really popular on Youtube, transform them in music and then sell ‘em on iTunes Store. On which by the way they ranked #63 last week and today they are #38.
And since they make money out of other peoples video, they make sure to share their income with the those guys. The Dodson family and Antoine (stars of “Bed Intruder”) also go …

What is social media good for but those narcissists that insist on letting everyone know how cool they are by checking in to absolutely everywhere on foursquare and letting everyone on FB know what they are doing? Marketing of course, and I don’t mean those stupid get skinny quick ads on facebook.
Two weeks ago some friends and I met up for dinner and to see Lydia, the band.
We arrived at Lincoln Hall (One of Chicago’s finest venues) and all of us check into four square. I got some adverture badge, …

So I finally got my gas-masked mug into AgencySpy last week! Not exactly the ideal circumstances to be mentioned on AgencySpy, but at least it’s not because of being fired from some high-profile post, or being anonymously called-out by co-workers for being an insufferable douchebag…
This weekend was beautiful. The air was breathable, the temperatures comfortable, and Muscovites seemed to be flocking out into the streets again. On Friday night I saw a solo performance by Alexander Hacke (of Einsteurzende Neubauten) at a very cool little bar/café called Ikra- It was …

Joaquin Phoenix finally gives away what the hell he was doing trying to rap and looking like he was on lsd the whole time.
Almost 2 years after started being a weirdo he comes out with what everybody kinda knew already, a documentary directed by Casey Affleck. “I’m still here” comes out September 10th and still nobody knows what its about.
I don’t know about you, but I’m interested to know what all that HUGE marketing around him and his personal life will bring.

I saw a side of Moscow that I loved this weekend. After a few weeks filled with drunken racists, bumbling, thuggy policemen, outrageous prices, horrible air quality, record breaking heat, and crazy working hours, I had my most enjoyable experience in Moscow so far, Saturday at the Afisha picnic. Afisha is a local magazine that’s like Moscow’s version of ‘Time Out’ or a free weekly magazine. They do this huge ‘picnic’ every year, and supposedly it’s always a big deal. I went with a few friends from work, and apart …

For starters, let me just make clear that I like this song. However, as a writer I can’t help but cringe when I hear the chorus.
Dear Kris Allen, we can’t live “like” we’re dying. By definition, we are dying. Each day that passes is one less day of our life.
If I may, a more accurate title would be “Live like we’ll die tomorrow” or, to keep it more poetic, “Live cause we’re dying”.
Technicalities, technicalities. Lol.

Sooo…
I haven’t written a post in a while for a variety of boring and predictable reasons. And while pontificating on what uninformed irrelevancy I should inflict on you the dear reader, I scrolled through the blog you’re currently reading to see what other people had been posting, and was delighted to see Julissa Ortiz had posted “The Shopper Freakout” a couple weeks ago.
Around that same time a friend sent me the same video and I opened it up while eating lunch and listening to some very nasty Dubstep. I watched …

Friday night I went to see the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, as I often do. I have a “Friday Night Club” membership, which means I can attend ANY show that the DSO performs on any Friday night. Last Friday the DSO was performing an all Mozart program. There was one moment in Mozart’s Violin concerto #4 where the soloist seemed to levitate (musically speaking)… the notes floated through the air and time seemed to stop. It was dead quiet in the packed hall, except for the haunting melodies emanating from that …
