I read this article on my commute today where AC/DC’s Brian Johnson did a little ripping on Bono and his public displays of charity. After seeing U2 for the first time this summer I could not agree more with him. I think I actually blogged about how it felt like I was witnessing a cult meeting. Give it a quick read. What does it have to do with advertising? Maybe not a lot but, I learned a new word that can be thrown around. Mythomaniac; a person who wishes to convince the world of their worth. Seems kind of like what brands are trying to do most of the time.
