Keith Gibson
Bay Area-native Keith Gibson was designing covers of mix tapes for record labels he devised with his friends and silk-screening tee-shirts semi-professionally from a young age. Fostering his passion for design and product promotion in his late teens, Gibson became a manager and lead designer at a popular electronic music focused record store in his home town, heckling ravers and generating high-profile contacts in the industry. He enjoyed a lucrative career spinning records as a local DJ with an unrivaled repertoire to packed venues in the 1990s, earning him moderate fame and local celebrity. To this day, he can hardly leave the house without someone recognizing him or calling out his name and he almost never pays for his fries at Hot Dog on a Stick.
He later plugged in with the big-boys, joining the ranks of top advertising and design firms across the country including Grey, Deutsch, Taxi and Octopus. These days he initiates and designs remarkable campaigns for companies utilizing his years of industry knowledge, raw talent and unmatched drive.
He attended San Francisco’s Academy of Art College and the “Ad-World” famous Creative Circus in Atlanta, GA. In addition to his many accolades, Keith’s style is exuberant, thoughtful, highly dynamic, real-world content-based and often pushes the proverbial envelope offering new ways to think about products, concepts, organizations and issues.
After returning to the San Francisco from an East Coast stint in Brooklyn, NY Keith has revisited his Bay Area roots and currently resides with his wife to be and their imaginary schnauzer Amaldovar. He enjoys biking, surfing, cooking, celebrates the art of fine film and chocolate cake with coconut cream frosting, which really is quite ood.
