Seen on the Streets.

Street art is just awesome. It can brighten your day. Sometimes, literally. Like this piece from artist Jim Campbell. The installation on Madison Square Park in New York City has 1,600 light-bulbs. Enough to turn a gray day like today into a radiant one. Not only do you get to see a bunch of light-bulbs hanging in the middle of the park (you could do that yourself), but these light-bulbs are actually acting like a screen. Creating a collection of moving images. See the video below, it’s much better than my description. Also, if you happen to be in the city, head down to Madison Square Park to see it for yourself.

I like how the light bulb sculpture is an ‘homage to the light bulb.’ It’s nice to see how such a simple idea can have such a beautiful result.
