“We invited 20 international animators and studios combined with 11 of the best sound design studios to explore the relationship between geometry and audio”
The result is some of the sickest shit I’ve ever seen/heard.
Every frame is art.
Every sound is purposeful.
My personal favorite starts at 7:10

These paper works by Bianca Chang kill me.
They are beautiful.
This video shows some of the builds in stop-motion and it’s a great way to appreciate the time and attention it takes to create work this impressive.
Amazing.

You’ve probably already heard about Jessica Hische or seen her work. She’s super-awesome in various ways.
You should check out her site(s), follow her on Twitter, hire her as an illustrator, and just generally reward her talent with huge buckets full of money…
“Method & Craft” did an interview with her and the whole thing is a really interesting read, but part of the first paragraph specifically has been lodged in my brain since.
“I didn’t feel like I really had much to “express” yet. Being able to think and execute artwork on …

Last week REVOK was arrested at LAX.
REVOK is a notorious graffiti artist who has painted all over the globe and is currently featured in the Museum of Contemporary Art’s, very successful “Art in the Streets” show.
The Los Angeles Police have been complaining about the show since before it opened and the timing/methods used to apprehend the artist implies the two things are probably linked. I’m assuming this is intended to serve as a warning to LA graffiti writers but I really don’t understand how. No kid scaling a billboard with …

They say, do what you love and the money will follow. But as ad people, we have to know that it’s not that easy.
Some of us like to think, historically myself included, that having a strong book is good enough. But if Chad Ochocinco and Paris Hilton have taught us anything, it’s that we have to brand ourselves.
Heads of agencies are in charge of creating a culture where good work can flourish. And a big part of this is piecing together the right people. They are looking for you to …

Street art is just awesome. It can brighten your day. Sometimes, literally. Like this piece from artist Jim Campbell. The installation on Madison Square Park in New York City has 1,600 light-bulbs. Enough to turn a gray day like today into a radiant one. Not only do you get to see a bunch of light-bulbs hanging in the middle of the park (you could do that yourself), but these light-bulbs are actually acting like a screen. Creating a collection of moving images. See the video below, it’s much better than …

So I finally got my gas-masked mug into AgencySpy last week! Not exactly the ideal circumstances to be mentioned on AgencySpy, but at least it’s not because of being fired from some high-profile post, or being anonymously called-out by co-workers for being an insufferable douchebag…
This weekend was beautiful. The air was breathable, the temperatures comfortable, and Muscovites seemed to be flocking out into the streets again. On Friday night I saw a solo performance by Alexander Hacke (of Einsteurzende Neubauten) at a very cool little bar/café called Ikra- It was …

I was in NY last week for work and we happened to check out this really cool gallery with work by some Brooklyn-based artists Faile. They are primarily street artists but took over a space and transformed it into an interactive exhibit full of old school arcade games and foosball all covered floor to ceiling with their art. Each arcade game had their work that you could interact with in some way. I’d never seen anything like it before.
Their work seems to be really collage-esque with monoprints and …
