Burger King is splitting from CP&B after a seven-year partnership. A partnership that I thought was going to last forever due to the great work they’ve created for the brand. However new ownerships always come with changes, and this one is not an exception.
Here’s a look back at the seven-year creative relationship including the famous Subservient Chicken, the Whopper Sacrifice and the Whopper Freakout. Enjoy!

We all know what the negatives are about working in advertising. It’s a vapid existence working for terrible clients and producing work that we refuse to acknowledge publicly as our own (blah blah blah).
But what we in advertising fail to realize is that there are far worse jobs we could be doing. We could be teachers. We could be lawyers. We could be sanitation workers. We could be housewives. The possibility that you would be doing something worse if you didn’t work in advertising is highly likely.

TED has a new initiative called “Ads Worth Spreading” and the results of this first competition are out. 10 winners, 10 amazing ideas. As they say “With this competition, we’re seeking to reverse the trend of online ads being aggressively forced on users. We want to nurture ads so good you choose to watch.” Maybe you’ve seen a couple of this being awarded in other Ad festivals, but this particular selection of ideas is great. Agency Rec Sports:
If your idea of competitive sports means chugging multiple beers out of enormous novelty mugs and stumbling all over a crack-pipe littered beach volleyball court behind some random ass shady biker bar, then you’re a team player in my book. It was in that genuinely concerned way. In the context of the final touches of a good haircut. I walked out of the trendy Floyd’s 99 happy and comfortable that I paid 150% more than I had at the last place I used to get my haircut. …

A brand new advertising-related twitter just started. And it’s hilarious. We’ve all experienced some ridiculous clients and feedback. Here’s a place to showcase just how smart our clients can be.
“Sorry, missed everything after “I’m not trying to be a writer, but” Got distracted by thoughts of punching you in the face. You were saying?”

Where your clients suck the living soul out of you? I just recently went through a proposal phase/bid that didn’t pan out. No problem though because I was cutting my rates so much to work with these individuals it would have almost have put me in the hole. Honestly it would have been more headache than anything and it doesn’t matter if you give me a 2000 day rate for that. Oh wait yeah that matters =)
Anyways I found this gem again and thought I would share. Anyone that has …
