U-Tube + U2

Next sunday, October 25th, YouTube will have its first live concert transmission. Straight from California, U2 fans are gonna be able to watch the concert from more than 15 countries.
Also the U2 channel (youtube.com/U2) will have Ads (of course) and a button so people can donate money for the RED campaign on which Bono is the ambassador.
Streaming starts at 8:30pm, Pacific time and it should be really cool for everybody to watch. I’m not the biggest U2 fan, but their huge productions always kick-ass!!

MOUSETRAP LIVES AGAIN

On my 13th birthday I got my first guitar as a present, and it changed my life forever. Sometimes I believe it was a curse, sometimes I think it probably saved my life. A few years later I started my first band with two of the only people I could relate to at my shitty little high school. One of them literally saved my life once (I won’t get into that…) and the other was my best friend in the world until he started changing, slowly becoming less of a …

The Real Spinal Tap

In Rob Reiner’s timeless classic, “This Is Spinal Tap,” the fictitious 80’s hair band falls from grace – going from sold out arenas to opening up for a puppet show at a county fair. In the Sundance hit documentary titled “Anvil: The Story of Anvil,” Anvil is just as disfunctional, naive, and clueless as the characters Nigel Tufnel and David St. Hubbins of Spinal Tap. But sadly, Anvil is entirely real and they’d be lucky to share a marquee with puppets.
They were lauded by Slash, Motorhead’s Lemmy and according to …

“This is It”

I just bought tickets to the screening of Michael Jackson’s This Is It movie (or should I say, the compilation of rehearsal videos put together by people who want to make even more money from his death). In any case, I’m very curious to see how they put this together. It’ll definitely be a thriller.
Enough has been said about his life, so I won¹t go into that. Not every story is Black or White. But so is the life of a smooth criminal. It¹s still pretty sickening that people just …

FINALLY, ROGER GETS SOME REVENGE

Back in the early 80’s there was this group called Zapp. They were fronted by Roger Troutman. Allow Wikipedia to explain in further detail:
Roger Troutman (November 29, 1951 – April 25, 1999) was the lead singer of the band Zapp who helped to pave the way for West Coast hip hop after the scene’s rappers heavily sampled his music over the years. Troutman was well known for his use of the talkbox, a device that is connected to an instrument (frequently a keyboard) to create different vocal effects. Roger used …

Sharpen your tools

Working efficiently has always been a modo of mine. Anything I can do to make things faster I teach myself. Wether it be look for new software or learn the key commands to my software. The faster you work the more valuable you are and people will notice.
One HUGE thing that has shaved countless hours off my days is COOLIRIS.

What A Yiddish Parrot Can Do For The Community:

What A Yiddish Parrot Can Do For The Community:
Adventures in Improvising
After performing in a completely improvised musical, where I took to the stage as a singing robotic Chuck E. Cheese and later Sven the International Skeeball Champion, I was approached by the founder of a group called Cherub Improv. They have set gigs and they’re looking for performers, he says, ideal for a ham like me. The venues include Lenox Hill nursing home and a synagogue, not exactly career launching gigs.
But this altruistic performer had modeled a group after the …
