Just saw this. Its crazy. Literally crazy. It’s magic, if magic was real. They call it “Content-Aware.” You won’t need a retoucher anymore. I can’t even describe it. Just watch the video. Hell, I’m worried for my job now. Next thing you know photoshop will have the “Concept” tool and the “Art direct” tool.

One thing that really annoys me is when I hear copywriters say they don’t know anything about the art direction cause they’re “writers.” Just because you choose one discipline and have a partner that focuses on the other doesn’t mean you’re a savant. Just came across this website and got really excited with what I saw.
The video shows how the new image editing tools for Photoshop CS5 are going to work and I don’t know why, but I felt like we would all be cheating (lol) even though every Art Directors life will get a lot easier. Working with small budgets using stock photography are going to suck a lot less!
