I think it’s useful to see how things work. It helps me appreciate what I’m looking at and it also lets my mind wander to areas of creativity I wouldn’t have found on my own. Like, prisms – they’re awesome. They bend light, guys…mindblowing. Needless to say, I was stoked to learn how the animation was conceived and executed for the music video of “We Come Together” by Goldfish. It’s inspiring and daunting at the same time. Look at just how much effort was put into this 3:00 little movie …

Alright folks, it’s that time of the year. Time to stuff your fat gullets full of pizza, beer and an unfortunate amount of chicken wings. Time to sit around the TV with people that you know, barely know or might even completely despise. That time where corporations vie for your attention just as hard as the two teams slugging it out on the gridiron. That’s right. Super Bowl time.
Well if you aren’t sick of all the Super Bowl hype and coverage like we are in Dallas, I’ve compiled several ways …

When the people at Fallon came out with the idea of having a series of short films directed by and staring A-list Hollywood talent for BMW, nobody imagined how successful this idea would be by posting them on the Internet instead of just having them as TV spots.
The Hire , a BMW Films production was conceived back in 2002 when there was no Youtube, or any streaming site around. This campaign was recently awarded second place on the One Show Best of the Digital Decade …

Nokia came out with this really cool interactive production to release their new phone. Nothing too crazy but for sure a great way to let people know more about the product instead of having to watch the boring review videos like on CNET.com.
They use Youtube as media and the video allows you to choose who would you like to show you the product from their 3 different people options.

This guys are actually pretty incredible. A lot of people edit Youtube videos making music with them, but in this case, they get videos that are about to get really popular on Youtube, transform them in music and then sell ‘em on iTunes Store. On which by the way they ranked #63 last week and today they are #38.
And since they make money out of other peoples video, they make sure to share their income with the those guys. The Dodson family and Antoine (stars of “Bed Intruder”) also go …

Sooo…
I haven’t written a post in a while for a variety of boring and predictable reasons. And while pontificating on what uninformed irrelevancy I should inflict on you the dear reader, I scrolled through the blog you’re currently reading to see what other people had been posting, and was delighted to see Julissa Ortiz had posted “The Shopper Freakout” a couple weeks ago.
Around that same time a friend sent me the same video and I opened it up while eating lunch and listening to some very nasty Dubstep. I watched …

This past Sunday, at 7 a.m. Texas Stadium was imploded. THE Texas Stadium. Former home of the Dallas Cowboys. All sponsored by Kraft Mac ‘N Cheese. That’s right. Kraft held an essay contest for kids, with the winner getting to push the button to start the demolition. While the explosion didn’t look like cheddar, it was pretty cool. People lined up outside to catch a glimpse of it.
While the whole idea of Kraft sponsoring the implosion of Texas Stadium is a ridiculous but ultimately fun idea, I think they missed …

Make your brand sing or kill people. Logos are the essence of our modern culture and definitely one part of this job. Whether it be a re- branding or not you will touch a logo you hate or love. BRAND BRAND BRAND!
Anyways, this little movie is pretty awesome I suggest watching it all the way through.
